Caffeine Skincare Routine!

IMG_0778While I was sipping my Starbucks coffee this morning, I began to ponder the actual benefits it has (in particular when it’s incorporated into skincare). Yes, coffee is usually associated with waking people up in the morning, but it can also perk up your skin. The caffeine in coffee has a number of benefits for your skin, from treating redness and inflammation, to reducing the appearance of under-eye circles, to getting rid of cellulite. By incorporating caffeine into your skin care routine, you can reveal evenly toned, smooth skin all over your body. Additionally, coffee essential oil contains anti-aging properties and is a great additive to body scrubs for exfoliating and over-all toning the skin! Plus – my personal favorite is my ‘coffee n’ cream’ soap*.

So watch for the new “Caffeine Skincare Routine” class this fall! I’m excited already!

Skincare in the heat!

covershotSo are are we enjoying this heat wave?

Natural skincare doesn’t like to be in warm temperatures.  If you see me at the farmers market, I’ll have my creams and lotions (and the deodorant) in a cooler.

When you get your product home, immediately open your products, stir or shake vigorously and replace lid.  Allow your products to sit to resolve any separation or viscosity issues that may have occurred.  So in the summer, place products in a cool environment (or air conditioning is great).  And in the winter, keep your product in a room temperature environment.

So in summary, please keep your natural products from moisture, heat and direct UV light.
